SIXTEEN WACKY TALES
Some of these crazy stories are based in Dorset. I guess I wrote them to cheer myself up. Some are very silly and ridiculous. Sometimes I just get one tiny little idea pop into my head and I quickly write it down or send the idea to myself on an email, and when I finally begin to write it on my laptop, it’s almost like the story begins to write itself right in front of me. It’s quite an extraordinary experience. I grew up in North London and my father was a very bold and blunt character. Sometimes he hurt peoples feelings. Being around a man like that has influenced my writing I like to be bold and blunt but I try to do this all in the name of fun and humour sometimes while writing I burst out laughing this happened when I was writing Jamie and his magnificent T-shirt story number two.
